Frequently asked questions
What counts as a truck?
Any active unit in your fleet. You can deactivate trucks you're not running and won't be charged for them.
Do I need QuickBooks?
No. TruckDesk is a standalone ledger. You can export clean data for your CPA or tax software at any time.
What file formats do you support?
CSV, PDF, and Excel uploads for fuel cards, factoring statements, and bank statements. We support WEX, EFS, Comdata, RTS, Apex, and more — with an AI fallback for formats we haven't seen.
Can my bookkeeper or CPA access the account?
Yes. On Growth and Fleet plans you can invite users with specific roles — bookkeeper, dispatcher, or driver — each with the right level of access.
Is my data secure?
All data is isolated per carrier using row-level security at the database level. A bug in the UI cannot leak another carrier's data.
